Tip for Bird Feed: Instead of using the pre-mixed red stuff for the birds, try using a 1:4 ratio of pure white cane sugar and water.  Example, 1 cup of sugar needs 4 cups of water. Adding more sugar isn’t helping. It can make the birds sick. In the hottest part of the year you can even use a little less sugar and more water to help them stay hydrated.
 
Tip for Healthly Feed: The feed will need to be changed out no longer than 7 days, if the weather is hot it should be changed more frequently. When it gets in the 90's here, we change the water every 3 days. 
 
* Hummingbirds are territorial and will fight over a food source, it's a good idea to have more than one feeder available for them.
